A MAN was arrested following a drugs raid in Blackburn this morning.

Police carried out a raid on a house in Whalley New Road at around 9.30am, where they found a quantity of cannabis.

Crime Scene Investigators are expected to further examine the mid-terraced property, close to Petre Process Plant Limited, later today.

Neighbours in dressing gowns and pyjamas looked on as officers banged on the front door, demanding entry.

Minutes later, while officers were preparing to force entry, a man thought to be in his late 30s or 40s appeared at an upstairs window.
